This week on DORiS we sit down with Benzo Kawaii, a recording artist and Zach Childs, an author, both entrepreneurs from Delaware. We’ve heard some of Kawaii’s work in previous Spotilight posts, and Childs’ ”The Erimosi Sagas: Prologue”, an excerpt from his debut novel, ”The Eimosi Sagas” is available on the DORiS Zine. The two have been friends since Kawaii used to bully Childs in middle school. They are two of each others biggest supporters whether it be Kawaii’s musical endeavors or Childs’ new clothing line Verzus, they are always there for each other.
One of our over arching themes this season has been mental health. With spoke witht the pair about the subject and how the work to maintain self-care within their personal lives. Both sited music as a source of maintaining a positive mindset, but achieving it when one finds themself in a negative mindset.
Benzo Kawaii has a new project dropping later this year and though we don’t yet have a title he says it his his best work to date. Zach Childs debut novel is slated for release later this year and be on the lookout for new drops from his clothing company Verzus.
